When Michelin stars meet HafenCity flair
One afternoon. Ten top chefs. 19 Michelin stars. One common goal: to make world-class cuisine accessible.
On 7 September, the foodlab in Hamburg’s HafenCity will be transformed into a place where fine dining breaks the mould and encounters come to the table. For the second time, ‘Hamburg’s Stars’ by OPEN MOUTH brings the crème de la crème of Hamburg’s Michelin-starred gastronomy to one table – in the truest sense of the word.
Curated by Maurizio Oster (Zeik), eleven restaurants with a total of twelve Michelin stars and seven green stars come together for a very special kind of kitchen party. Personal. Surprising. Inspiring. Because here, it’s not just about cooking – it’s about sharing an experience.
Michelin-starred cuisine reimagined
The mission: culinary excellence without a rigid framework. Instead of set menus and white tablecloths, there is direct interaction with the chefs, bold combinations and the rare opportunity to travel through Hamburg’s gastronomic diversity in a single moment.
Whether it’s Thomas Imbusch’s radical regionality (100/200 Kitchen, GLORIE), Matteo Ferrantino’s Mediterranean poetry (bianc) or Heinz O. Wehmann’s Hanseatic craftsmanship (Landhaus Scherrer) – the line-up reads like a best-of from the Michelin Guide. And all this in a relaxed setting, with a view of the harbour and a lot of heart.
An experience that reflects Hamburg’s gastronomic scene
‘Hamburg’s Stars by OPEN MOUTH’ is more than just a culinary event. It is an expression of a new sense of community in top-class gastronomy. As Matthias Gfrörer (Gutsküche) aptly describes it: ‘We work together in a family atmosphere.’ And that is exactly what makes this afternoon so special.
Guests experience cuisine as a cultural form – accessible, creative, sustainable. They meet the creators behind the dishes, discover stories, signatures and perspectives. Every plate is a conversation starter, every station a gateway to a different culinary world.
