Fair Trade Week is the largest Fair Trade campaign week in Germany. The aim of Fair Trade Week is to make the principles, goals and diversity of the fair trade movement visible and to invite people to get involved. The Fair Trade Week is organized by the Forum Fairer Handel in cooperation with Fairtrade Germany and the Weltladen-Dachverband. In Hamburg, the Fair Trade City Hamburg has been bundling the events of world stores, action groups, church groups, companies, schools and restaurants since 2011 and also organizes the kick-off event and other events of its own.

The events are characterized by a great variety - and thus reflect the wide range of participants: fair menus, product tastings and fair breakfast tables, panel discussions, exhibitions and church services, information events and concerts provide a wide range of insights into the structures, effects and potential of fair trade.
