Alina Sannmann
Alina Sannmann (31) continues to run the family business Gärtnerei Sannmann in Hamburg-Ochsenwerder. The business is now in its 10th generation and has been growing Demeter-certified vegetables since the 1980s. Marketing is mainly carried out via wholesalers and subscription boxes or other B2B concepts. Since this year, the focus has shifted to direct marketing, for example through self-picking, farm tours and cooking events in the nursery. As managing director, Alina Sannmann is currently increasingly concerned with the question of how a food-producing business can survive in the Hamburg area and how it is possible to pay fair wages in the face of increased competition from other European countries.
Katharina Wilck
Showing what spices can really do - that was and is Katharina Wilck's mission. For over 20 years, the "1001 Gewürze" manufactory she founded has stood for premium quality products. A team of six strong women create and produce at the Barmbek site. They consistently use the best organic spices - salt and sugar are not used as cheap fillers. This means that the 1001 spice blends are "little concentrates, so to speak", explains Katharina Wilck: "They have an intensity that industrially produced spices can only furtively dream of
Thomas Sampl
Thomas Sampl, originally from Gütersloh, has been a true Hamburg native since 2004. He and his team of over 80 people love to conjure up sustainable and regional cuisine in his Hobenköök in Oberhafen and at Gut Karlshöhe. He also works as a TV chef for NDR and is passionate about healthy eating for children and young people. Thomas combines North German classics with modern ideas and swears by seasonal and regional ingredients. His favorite projects include event formats such as the Hobenschnack, the Schnippeldisco, his Isemarkt tour and the popular market hall tour & cooking course through the Hobenköök.
